During this private yoga retreat in the stunning coastal village of Cascais, you will be staying at a charming hostel, the Guincho Wayra House, with a shinny community of people and enjoying the most amazing sundown over the magical Guincho beach.
Your private room is cosy and quiet and gives access to the ensuite bathroom. The yoga studio is just the floor under your room, which gives you time to meditate or do your practice at any time of the day.
You will join the Wayra group morning/afternoon classes and enjoy 1 private session with focus on self practice and Ayurveda workshops in the afternoon with your yoga teacher Filipa. As an Ayurveda yoga teacher she will also focus on bringing you back into balance, connecting with your true nature of spirit, depending on what you need and which energies are out of balance.
After the morning session you will have outdoor activities which can vary from surf or paddle or hiking in the mountains. Let us know what you feel and we will adapt your days so you have the best stay ever.
Its a costume tailored retreat where you can learn a self practice as well as lifestyle advices for your daily routine and a yoga sequence to continue after the retreat. Our goal for these days is to inspire you to continue your own transformational process when back home.

Guincho Adventures Hostel is a 16-minute walk from Guincho Beach. The hostel enjoys a privileged location and views. Only a 3-minute drive from the beach and the Sintra-Cascais natural park. And your host Laura is amazing and will provide everything for you to feel good at home!
The Hostel has shared and double rooms with views to the mountains and the sea. The shared living room includes cable TV, DVD player and Wi-Fi connection for the exclusive use of our guests. It has large balconies from where you can admire the imposing Ocean and contemplate the magic of the Sintra natural park.
Guests can prepare their own meals in a fully equipped kitchen. A healthy and energising breakfast is included as part of your stay, setting you up to make the most of your day!
The historic centre of Cascais is a 10 minute drive away, where you will find restaurants with a rich variety in traditional and international cuisine, complemented by a vibrant nightlife.
The hostel is a 3 minute drive from Guincho Beach, famous for its winds and waves, ideal for sports such as kitesurfing, paddle boarding, windsurfing, surfing and body boarding. We have countless activities to make your stay unforgettable and fun. The Hostel is located only 35 minutes from the Lisbon International Airport, with airport transfer service available.

The yoga teacher
A former classical dancer, Filipa Veiga has started to learn the method of the Ashtanga Yoga practice, as traditionally taught by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois with Isa Guitana, in Lisbon, in 2004. She fast became a devoted practitioner understanding the deeper levels the Ashtanga method offers to its regular followers. Being a student at first, Filipa goes every year to Mysore, in India, to study with the Paramaguru R. Sharath Jois, at the KPJAYI, Pattabhi Jois´ grand-son and the holder of the Ashtanga Yoga lineage.
She has been learning meditation and attending chanting mantra sessions with her teachers in Mysore and Bali and is studying Ayurveda in the Vedic University.
Coming from a traditional European background, she studied law and has worked for 12 years as a TV as well as a magazine journalist reporting about the world. These skills are now orientated for the wellness world where Filipa feels blessed to share her life and yoga practice in her blog yoga-me http://www.filipaveiga.com/subpages/blog. This blog recently gave origin to a book released in 2016 with the same name.
Filipa lives between India, Bali and Portugal where she dedicates her life inspiring people to transform their lives throw the yoga teaching regular classes, gives workshops and retreats.
