"The science that describes what is appropriate and inappropriate for healthy life, what is happy or unhappy life, and describes the guidelines for what is essential and irrelevant for a long life, and everything about life, is called ayurveda."

~ Charak Samhita

Ayurveda became apparent to me after many years of struggles with digestive issues. I was forced to take antibiotics daily and cringe at the thought that I allowed to do this to myself when alternative methods were clearly available. Through Ayurveda, I discovered a lifestyle of creating balance and the path towards my healing. Ayurveda offers the disciplines that made a significance towards my relationship with food. For instance, the discipline of refraining from comsumption of food past 7pm, and the simple act of blessing food prior to consumption, are two practices I learned which has made a vast difference in my daily life.

In Bali, I realized my thirst for knowledge towards this traditional healing system through my teachers Prem and Radha Carlisi. While in Mysore, I studied with Dr. K.S. Chitralekha (now my mentor), the Ayurvedic Nutrition and Cooking Course to become an Ayurvedic Life-Style Coach. At present, I am continuing my studies with the American Institute of Vedic Studies.

I continue to deepen my knowledge of Ayurveda to share this ancient knowledge and medicine for your well-being, and to create a healthy balanced way of life. Through discovering your Prakriti according to Ayurveda, you will begin to understand how your body reacts to the food you ingest. This discovery will allow you to ultimately create a balance through proper diet and lifestyle changes.

Special thanks to the teachers and mentors who led me to my Ayurvedic path:
